“I was sent to kill her.”
There was one rule for this job. No witnesses.
Then I saw her. She wasn't supposed to be there, and I can only imagine what those dirtbags had been planning for her with her gorgeous blonde hair and her deadly curves. So I did the one thing I knew I shouldn't: I killed every a**hole in that room and I took her as my prize.
I don't save people's lives. I'm a killer, a hired hitman for the Russian mob. But I tell her to trust me, and I mean it. I'm not going to let anyone take her away from me. I'd sworn off women long ago, but I can't resist her long legs and wicked mind, and every time I tell myself I'm being foolish, she gets down on her knees and begs me not to leave her.
I'd rather die than lose her and the baby I know she'll give me.
A full length Standalone Romantic Suspense novel. No Cliffhangers. Safe from cheating. Explicit language & swearing.

I should be dead. Buried in an unmarked grave in Romania. Obviously I'm not. God had other plans."
Virginia Prodan's compelling story of courage in the face of intimidation and even death on behalf of others is a testament to her unwavering faith in a God who delivers.
As I turned the last page of Virginia Prodan’s SAVING MY ASSASSIN one word escaped my lips, “WOW”! SAVING MY ASSASSIN is the story of one woman’s determination to set the truth free by defending those who yearned to worship God freely in a country that was ruled by a ruthless dictator bent on destroying anyone or anything Christian.
Virginia Prodan did not have it easy growing up. Her parents treated her differently than the other children, bordering on emotionally abusive. Left alone frequently, Virginia found solace and friends through books. As Virginia grew into a young woman she also began to recognize the restrictions and lack of freedom that existed in her communist country of Romania. Determined to find and live the truth in all things Virginia longed to become a lawyer. Studying hard she passed her exams, excelled in school and realized her dream.
However, practicing law in Romania proved to be a challenge especially as a Christian. After accepting Christ as her Savior, Virginia started to take on cases defending local churches and Christians. The corrupt Communist Party of Nicolae Ceausescu viewed any Christian activity or religious articles as anti-government. Ceausescu saw himself as a god and viewed anything contrary to that belief as being subversive. Virginia determined to defend churches, pastors and fellow Christians accused of crimes against the government risked her life as well as the life of her children to defend their right to worship freely. The more cases Virginia won, the more the government turned up the heat. She began to be followed and interrogated by the brutal Securitate (Communist government agents). She was cornered in her office on one particular occasion by a Securitate assassin. With only her faith to defend her, she reached out through her fear and offered her assassin God’s love. Needless to say she converted his heart and changed his life in a scene that left me breathless and inspired. Eventually, Virginia captured the attention of America and European countries determined to assist her and give her family asylum from political persecution, as well as bring attention to the plight of persecuted Christians in Romania. After years of defending others, Virginia Prodan finally had someone to defend her.
What I liked best about this book is Virginia’s determined spirit to live her faith in all matters. In spite of all the threats she was willing to defend the truth time and time again. She could have let fear consume her, but instead she faced it head on. She knew Romanian law inside and out and leaned on this law as well as her faith to defend those unfairly persecuted. In addition to the beautiful story I also appreciate the book containing an epilogue, a final note from the author and Q & A. Every question I had was answered and I appreciated that as a reader.
I highly recommend SAVING MY ASSASSIN. It is an incredible story of faith and survival under the worst of conditions. It also leaves you with the realization that we live in an incredible country and should never take our belief in God, our faith or our freedoms for granted. It will open your eyes to the hardships that exist for many people in other countries that don’t have the incredible freedoms we enjoy here in the US. SAVING MY ASSASSIN by Virginia Prodan is a must read.
